Druker, Itzhak

Druker was a member of the Israeli National team in the 1960s. He appeared in seven international games (full FIFA appearances or "caps") between 1966-1969 but did not score a goal. He played on Israel's 1968 Olympic team (not considered a full "cap" by FIFA) and helped the team reach the Asian Cup championship that same year.

Career Highlights:
A forward, Druker was a member of the Israeli national soccer team in the late 1960s. In 1968, he competed in the Asian Championship where Israel lost to Iran (2-1) in the final. At the Olympics that year, Druker helped Israel reach the quarterfinals to finish fifth. Itzhak started in two of the three preliminary games for Israel: a 3-1 win over El Salvador, and a 2-0 loss to Hungary (the Israeli team also defeated Ghana, 5-3). Israel finished in second place in the group, to advance to the quarterfinals; Druker started and played the entire game againt Bulgaria, which ended in a 1-1 tie. To determine which team would advance to the semifinals, there was a coin toss, which the Bulgarians won. Bulgaria eventually won the silver medal, while Israel finished in fifth place.
