At the 1976 Olympics, Lev was a defender on the Israeli soccer team that reached the quarterfinals and finished fifth. He started and played in two of the three preliminary games where Israel drew with Guatemala, 0-0, Mexico, 2-2, and France, 1-1 (Lev did not play against France). Israel's three points put them second in the group behind France, good enough to advance them to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinal match, world powerhouse Brazil defeated Israel, 4-1, but Lev did not appear in the game.
