At the 1912 Games, the first Olympics to include women's swimming, Adler competed in both individual and team events. In the 100-meter freestyle, she finished fourth in her preliminary heat with a time of 1:34.4 and did not advance to the semifinals. She swam the lead leg in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay, with Jewish teammates Klara Milch and Josephine Sticker. The Austrian team finished in third place with a time of 6:17.0 to take the bronze medal (Great Britain won the gold in 5:52.8).

Career Highlights:
Adler was the Austrian National Champion in the 100-meter freestyle (1915, 1921-1924), the 300-meter freestyle (1915, 1916, 1918, and 1921), and the 400-meter freestyle (1922-1924). She was also the Austrian diving champion in 1915.
