Weiner played at the University of Tennessee in the 1950s and was a two-time All-Southeast Conference (SEC) selection. He was also named Converse first team All-America his senior season (1955)

Career Highlights:
Weiner had a terrific career at Tennessee in the mid-1950s. In 1954, he was named second team All-SEC and the Volunteers had a record of 11-12 (7-7 in conference). The following year, Weiner was team captain and enjoyed a great senior season; he was named first team All-SEC and All-America honorable mention as Tennessee improved to 15-7 (8-6 in conference). Weiner was selected in the fourth round (27th overall) of the 1955 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia Warriors but did not play in the NBA.
