Melvin Besdin

Besdin played basketball at Syracuse University in the 1950s. He was selected by the Syracuse Nationals in the eighth round (69th overall) of the 1954 NBA Draft. He did not play in the NBA.

Career Highlights:
Besdin played three seasons as a forward for Syracuse University's varsity basketball team. In 1952, as a sophomore, he joined Ed Miller on the Orangemen and the team went 14-6. The following year, Syracuse finished 7-11. Late in the season, Besdin scored a game-high 22 points in a 89-84 loss to Cornell. In 1954, Besdin's senior season, the Orangemen compiled a record of 10-9.
