Career Highlights:
Born in Hungary, Gelb fought mostly in New York during his professional career. In December 1930, he defeated Pete DeGrasse in a ten-round decision. The following year, Gelb defeated the Puerto Rican featherweight champion Koli Kolo in a ten-round decision. In March 1933, he fought another boxer from Puerto Rico, future Colored Welterweight champion, Cocoa Kid. Although the fight went the distance, Gelb lost the eight-round decision. Three months later, Miki lost an eight-round decision to future world champion, Petey Sarron.
