A former boxer, promoter, and manager, Ross is the author of the upcoming book, Bummy Davis vs. Murder, Inc.: The Rise and Fall of the Jewish Mafia and an Ill-Fated Prizefighter (for this web site's bio of Bummy Davis, click here). An active participant in the world of boxing, Ross is a member of the Veteran Boxers Association of New York, and is currently writing a biography of Emile Griffith, the great middle and welterweight champion. He is also the consultant on a documentary, now in production, about Griffith and his legendary fights with Benny "Kid" Paret.

Career Highlights:
Born in New York City, Ross fought two professional bouts before becoming a manager and promoter. After earning his English degree from Brooklyn College, he then studied for his Masters Degree at New York University after a two year hitch in the army.
