At the 1996 Atlanta Games, 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and 2004 Athens Games, Pesakhovich was a member of the Israeli kayak team.Larissa came in seventh in the 500-meter singles kayak event in Atlanta. In Sydney she competed in the K2 500-meter event with partner Lior Carmi. They finished sixth in their preliminary heat (1:48.647) to advance to the semifinals. They finished fifth in their heat with a time of 1:48.120 and were unable to advance to the finals.

Career Highlights:
While competing for Russia, Pesakhovich finished first in the K2, and K4 at the 1991 Junior World Championships. She then emigrated to Israel after winning two bronze medals (in the K2 200 and K4 200) at the 1998 European Championships. While competing for Israel, she placed sixth in the K2 200-meter and 500-meter at the 1999 European Championship, and sixth in the K2 500-meter race at the 2000 European Championships. In 2002, Larissa teamed with Adi Gafni and competed at the World Championships. In the 1,000-meter pairs event, they won the bronze medal.

In 2003 she competed in the World Championships in Atlanta with partner Adi Gafni and finished 15th. Pesakhovich had a tough competition with former partner Gafni and Lior Carmi for a place on the Olympic squad, but she began pulling ahead upon winning a spot at the European Championship in Poznan, Poland. Larissa placed 4th in the 500-meter event and thus guaranteed her spot in the Olympics.
