The French heavyweight champion in 1927, Bouquillon fought in the United States in the early 1930s. He fought world champion Primo Carnera twice during his career.

Career Highlights:
Nicknamed 'The Iron Man of France,' Bouquillon began fighting in Paris in the mid-1920s. In 1927 he knocked out Francois Charles in the second-round to win the French National heavyweight championship. In 1929, Bouquillon fought future world champion Primo Carnera in Paris and was knocked out in the third-round. Two years later, he fought future European and German champion Adolf Heuser in Berlin and lost an eight-round decision. He then fought Carnera in a rematch in 1932, but lost on a second-round technical knockout -- Carnera outweighed Bouquillon by 80-pounds.
